Deliciously frosted fruits

Fruits & Friends

Marie-Laure and Ollivia have launched Fruttini by MO in the 6th arrondissement. A charming boutique where they offer glazed fruit to eat in or take away. Once inside, we discover a display of bright, appetizing fruit in a variety of shapes and colors. "They look so real," someone comments awkwardly. In fact, they are. In this ice cream parlour, you can taste "fruttini", sorbets made from water, fruit and sugar. The pulp of the fruit is used and put back inside the rind. These frozen fruits are far from the clichés often associated with Asian restaurants. The adventure began between these long-time friends. Marie-Laure, tall and blonde, comes from a fashion background, while Ollivia, short and brunette, is a lawyer. It all started with a nostalgic memory: frozen lemons from their childhood. Together, they decided to elevate the concept and create a quality product.

Made by hand

Lemon, orange, pear, avocado, lychee, dates, figs, coconut pomegranates, melon, pineapple, banana, dragon fruit, etc. These fruity gems are sure to make ice cream lovers' retinas pop...

The store also offers frozen desserts made with cookies, nougatine, flowers, chocolate and more. For special occasions, sophisticated creations or fruit baskets are also available.

In keeping with the Italian artisan tradition, Fruttini by MO offers fruttini made entirely by hand in their laboratories. Their master ice-cream maker delicately hollows out the fruit, cleans it and makes sure that the ice cream doesn't spill over, a meticulous work of art. "It takes a lot of time. For example, to open a walnut, you need a mask and pliers. And of course, they adapt to the seasons.

Organic, vegan and zero-waste

The texture is as smooth and velvety as ice cream, yet in most cases they're 100% sorbets, without a drop of milk, with a few exceptions.

It's refreshing and generous, with little pieces of fruit that melt on the tongue. As a result, when you bite into it, you really feel like you're biting into a piece of fruit... except that it's frozen.

You can expect to pay €3 for a lychee, €4.50 for a date or walnut, and no less than €35 for a pineapple, mango or coconut to share.

Fruttini's frosted fruits, ideal for those allergic to eggs and milk, are organic, vegan and zero-waste snacks (as everything can be eaten and the peels composted), but luxurious. Knowing that Japanese people often give fruit as gifts because it's an expensive food, we have our Fruttini frosted fruit in an Arcimboldo painting version, a work of art in fact!
