The Vault Art Gallery

A FRESH TWIST ON CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERIES

Banking on Beauty

April 25, 2024 – Brussels. Picture this: Zishan Ansari, the creative mind behind Quintessentially, the ultra-chic private concierge service, decides to dive into the world of contemporary art by opening a gallery in a venue as iconic as the former ING bank building, nestled at Avenue Louise 205-207 in Brussels. And thus, The Vault is born, a new gallery pulsating with a fresh and contemporary approach to art. Inspired by the once-secretive safes that safeguarded financial mysteries, The Vault focuses on internationally renowned artists while offering the opportunity to rent their masterpieces. But wait, there's more: it also transforms into an exclusive setting for private dinners, boasting no fewer than 800 safes ready to be rented.

When asked what prompted him to transform this banking space into an artistic enclave, Zishan Ansari's answer is simple: he saw an opportunity. "After years of browsing galleries in New York, France, and London, I realized there was a wealth of international contemporary artists who had yet to find their place here in Belgium," he explains, adding with a hint of mischief, "And after all, what's more luxurious than art? It's the ultimate investment in refinement and pleasure."

The Vault retains the charm of the bank, with its vault room filled with mysteries and treasures. But what truly sets it apart is its perfect marriage of art and functionality. By renting out these safes, The Vault ensures a steady flow of visitors, thus offering unparalleled visibility to the artists and their works. And to top it all off, it becomes the ideal venue for exclusive gastronomic experiences thanks to Nest, another gem in the Quintessentially group.

From Vaults to Visions

Among the featured artists are names that resonate in the world of contemporary art: Jonty Hurwitz, the master of holographic illusions; David David, the French visionary with biting metaphors; Lis Sam, the Cannes artist who paints with flowers and butterflies; Jean-Paul Kala, inspired by the mechanics and enchanting landscapes of Congo; and last but not least, David Kracov, the Disney wizard whose steel wall sculptures light up gazes.

Rent, Enjoy, Own

But that's not all. In addition to traditional purchases, The Vault also offers the option to rent artworks. In partnership with Bail Art, clients can lease their favorites for a period ranging from 12 to 48 months, with a monthly rent deductible from taxes. And the cherry on top: at the end of the contract, they can even choose to acquire the artwork for a fraction of its value.

About Quintessentially Quintessentially is much more than just a private concierge service. Since its founding by Zishan Ansari in 2006, it has established itself as the indispensable accomplice of luxury and refinement. In addition to offering unique experiences around the world, Quintessentially simplifies its clients' lives by taking care of their every desire, from the most extravagant to the most mundane. Because at Quintessentially, luxury is second nature.
