We not only had the opportunity to travel and explore but also to relax, feel healthy and be in better shape. The spa facilities are just incredible and top of the range. We tried a soothing sauna, relaxed with a traditional Balinese massage. The staff are highly qualified and the sensory experience recommended. And what about sustainability?
“First, it's important to recognize that the world is not simply black or white, but rather a shade of gray. Although we still run on fossil fuels, we are striving to improve our ecological footprint.
The focus is on emissions. Our goal is zero emissions by 2050. That's why our new ships run on LNG. They emit 20% less CO2, 85% less nitrogen and 99% less sulfur. What's more, these engines can also run on non-fossil fuels without any problems, making them ready to sail emission-free in the future. Then there's the question of waste, sewage and so on. All water on board is purified before being discharged. It's filtered seawater, which we even use to brew our own beer. We can even say that our recycling rate is two to three times higher than that of the average household.
Thirdly, we have the ability to use shore power. This means we don't need to burn fuel in port, reducing our emissions when generating electricity.”
“Finally, we're talking about a program designed to make navigation as efficient as possible.
