d’un parfum wellness. Un sentiment vivifiant qui exalte les sens puis emporte vers la plénitude avec ses notes sucrées et caressantes sur la peau. Pacific Chill capte les énergies de la nature, fait du bien à l’âme.
Un parfum comme l’aurore sur l’océan... Le Maître Parfumeur raconte : « Un matin à Los Angeles, alors que je discutais avec Alex Israel, nous étions tous deux à boire un de ces smoothies aux vertus détoxifiantes qu'adorent les Californiens. Ce jus gorgé de vitamines m’a inspiré et j’ai dit à Alex ‘je vais créer une Cologne détox !’. J’ai cherché à transcrire en émotion l’effet bien-être d’un cocktail de fruit. Le cassis a un tempérament vraiment intéressant. Il est vibrant, fruité, presque une framboise sans pesanteur, et c’est aussi un concentré de feuilles supporté par des notes de cédrat et de citron. Le cassis est d’un caractère volage que j’ai amplifié avec une combinaison de graines de coriandre et d’ambrette, de basilic, de menthe poivrée et d’essence d’orange. D’où ce départ foudroyant comme une sensation de frondaison sur la peau. De la graine de carotte, j’ai extrait une essence travaillée à Grasse. Cette essence de carotte va tempérer l’impact du cassis, ses teintes vertes, frontales comme un tableau de Gauguin. La carotte irise dans des accents onctueux et veloutés d’abricot, de datte et de figue. Elle apporte beaucoup de profondeur, elle structure. Un soupçon de Rose de Mai offre sa douceur florale et conclut cette alliance. »
Alex Israel’s Vision
Alex Israel takes us on an original pictorial journey through the Louis Vuitton Parfums de Cologne collection. Each fragrance holds a part of the work of this great contemporary artist, like an exhibition in which the fragrances are the picture rails. Since the beginning of this wonderful adventure, Alex Israel has shared his idealized vision of Los Angeles, a city saturated with incomparable colors. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud responds with another chromatic palette, in which flowers, scents are as many shades and nonsensical hues. For Pacific Chill, Alex Israel takes us to one of his favorite places, like an invitation to his secret garden. This view of the Pacific Ocean is a source of inspiration for him. It has become an original fresco, exclusive to the Maison Louis Vuitton, an impressionist painting that expresses all the emotion of a look at the horizon.
This new "impression soleil levant" dresses the Pacific Chill case in a mantle of dawn. The green bottle, iridescent with blue, responds in this sensitive chromatic palette. Pacific Chill is a creation of serenity.
"The gradation of green and blue is directly inspired by the landscape I intuitively associated with this fragrance: the green of the hills and the blue of the sea and sky along the southern Californian coast. That's where I like to hike," explains Alex Israel.
